Introduction
Cerebral stroke or ‘Brain Attack’ is the leading cause of disability and probably the third leading cause of death in India. We hope to increase awareness on stroke and its prevention so that the focus is on prevention rather than cure.
The Department offers comprehensive packages for epileptic care services, cerebral stroke programmes including rehabilitation and evaluation of complex neuromuscular disorders for which a recommended course of treatment is followed.

Pediatric Neurology
Comprehensive evaluation and facilities for management of general pediatric neurology disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders including autism and pervasive development disorders, cerebral palsy, neurometabolic and neurogenetic disorders, are available. Multi-disciplinary management of children with neurological and neurodevelopmental disorders can be initiated and followed up at our center. Specialist services for pediatric epilepsy and neuromuscular disorders are also available. The institute has excellent support services and pediatric intensive care facilities for management of acute neurologic emergencies in children including CNS infections, GB syndrome, ADEM and status epilepticus. Pediatric services for rehabilitation, child psychology and psychiatry are also available.
