Introduction
Department includes services in Anaesthesiology, Pain medicine and Surgical Intensive Care at Amar Hospital. Mission is to deliver state-of-the art, excellent anaesthesia services, pain management and intensive care in the perioperative setting. The department is committed to place the interests of the patients as its paramount concern.
Department Highlights
Services extend from the Preanaesthesia clinic (PAC) to Post Anaesthesia Care Units (PACU) and 8 bedded Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) where patients are closely monitored by the team.
The Team tries to bring a positive change in the attitude and perception of the patients entering surgery.
A work environment of mutual trust, understanding, appreciation and respect between the surgeons and anaesthesiologists is encouraged.

Intensive Care
Surgical Intensive Care Unit is equipped to provide the highest standard of intensive care round the clock. It is supported by highly experienced team of Intensivists skilled in resuscitation and management of critical patients, trained nurses, physiotherapists, dieticians and other paramedics. The Department provides continuous monitoring for complex surgery patients, critically ill and injured patients, patients with dysfunction or failure of one or more organ system. Infection Control Protocols are adhered to by all staff to prevent Hospital Acquired Infection.
