Paediatrics and Neonatology

This Department is dedicated to promoting the health and well being of children from newly born infant to young adulthood. The Department is supported by expert doctors, trained nurses, and well-equipped ICU with ventilators, monitors phototherapy units etc providing care for premature and full-term infants and sick children. The department works in close association obs and Gynae Department to ensure the successful transition from intrauterine life. We at Amar hospital promote and support exclusive breast feeding in infants at NICU. To make care holistic, we allow mothers to visit their babies in NICU and also involve them in the care of babies. Specialized follow up of premature and low birth weight babies is done. Routine outpatient services & immunization services are also provided.

The Department of Neonatal, Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Amar Hospital is multispecialty, tertiary care centre which takes care of children from birth till the age of 18 years. The department caters to a wide range of childhood problems and has state of the art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and tertiary level Neonatal unit managed by intensivists& neonatologists.
